MALAYSIA DANCE FORMS

                            Dance in Malaysia Malaysia has many dance forms to celebrate the history, culture, tribes and legends. Popular dance forms are like- jo get, zapin and asli etc. Jo-get A lively dance with fast-paced rhythm that originated in Malacca in the 16th century.  It's often performed at weddings and festivals, and is accompanied by a violin, gong, flute, rebana, and gendang.   Zapin A dance that combines Islamic teachings with elegant body movements.  It's performed to the tunes of the Rebana, Dok, Marwas, Rebab, Gambus, and accordion.   Asli A slow-paced dance with intricate, well-defined movements and poses.  It usually starts and ends with gong beats.   Inang A relatively fast-paced dance involving graceful movements.  It's commonly performed by pairs of women and men at social events.   Mak Yong A dance that originated in Kelantan and Patani region of Sout...
